She

It is the second time and most likely will the last time I watched a movie with her. We watched Time Traveler’s Wife which I wasn’t expecting that it’s a romantic drama movie. For some reason, she sat beside me and while watching the movie, our arms brushed against each other. Neither of us moved them and for the majority of the film there was a slight, skin on skin. It felt cool and it tickled me. It was nice. I’m not even talking sexual. It was just… nice. A nice feeling of her skin, brushing against

When we got up and leave, I was wishing my life would end up something romantic with her. Something like what happened in the movie. I wanted to say something, even just how soft her skin felt against mine but I thought she might think I was weird. That was all I was thinking that day… yes I know, it’s a bit shallow. But it will also be the last time that will happen to me.

Up

I got to watch the movie “Up” with my sister and my dad. The movie “Up” is a computer-animated comedy-adventure about a cranky old man who doesn’t have anything left except for his precious house, a house where he has memories on it with his wife, Ellie. His wife died because she succumbs to her old age and passes away. So when Carl passed by on the adventure “journal” of Ellie, he remembered that he has a promise locked with Ellie, a promise that Ellie wanted to do also. Anyway, Carl wasn’t alone in going through his mission. He has Russell with him, a Wilderness Explorer trying to earn his final merit badge. They worked with each other like a team, going through trials and courses. At first it was kind of gloomy and depressing but then it was cheerful at times too. But then it was also inspiring at the end because the old man, Carl Fredricksen, has goals for himself and for Ellie.

We should all be like Carl who fulfilled his long time goal. Every man has trials and failures, yet it’s better if we do our best to succeed and fulfill every goal in our life. And my point is, even though if we don’t succeed, it is better to try and do the best we can. Easy or hard, a goal is a goal. We are dedicated on what we should do. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us. But there is a way in which we are not alone, we have friends and love ones whom they are inspirations to us. And they are always with us and supporting us. Like Russell, we all have our own “Russell” in life, the ones who will help us and will love us. All I want to say is, we all have to finish what we have started. Never give up and fulfill the dream that we want in our life.

The Debutant

Do you know the feeling when you want to be close with the person but it’s too late? When he/she is already leaving for abroad? It affected me in a way that I didn’t got the chance to be close with the person. It was just last night when I felt that. I can’t accept that they’re already leaving and migrating. It it frustrating because I only got to know them last summer. So I really can't accept it.

I was reminiscing about the bonding we got together last summer. All the conversations we had been like no ending. Our eye contacts made us like connecting threads that have not been cut for ages. It was like heaven when I talk and chat with the person. But know they’re leaving; I wish them all the luck and love in this world. I really glad that I got to know them.

“There’s no one in town I know, you gave us some place to go. I never said thank you for that. I thought I might get one more chance. What would you think of me now, so lucky, so strong, so proud? I never said thank you for that, now I’ll never have a chance. May angels lead you in...” –Hear you me by Jimmy Eat World

Soccer

I was in school early in the morning to join with the girl’s practice because I was told by the coach to do some extra work. It was fun and tiring, I got to practice my shots and also I got to use the parachute. The parachute works as a resistance to the wind as you run forward or backward with using all your energy into it. It increases your strength and endurance.
Anyway. While resting, I realized that the time really flies fast as it affected me. It was like a blink of an eye. I remembered that it was just grade 3 when I started playing this terrible yet appealing sport. I kept my old soccer cleats so I could give it to my futures sons or daughters. I want them to play soccer like their father.

What is soccer to me? it is not just a ordinary sport or game. For me it is like my career. I work hard for it and in it. I practice just to be good at it. And I believe that practice makes perfect because the more we practice, the better you will come. Soccer is like any other career. You can treat it as your work, job, or even your best friend. You have to love it and have time for it. If you really want to be good at it, you really have to work hard for it. Being promoted in soccer is like promoting in a higher level. It is by playing in the next level from semi-pro leagues to the pro leagues.

"Soccer is how i learned to live; its how i found my way through life." Reid Sipes
